If we talk about an actor who became a well-known astrologer, the name Man Karin or his astrologer alias of Man Magician would come to mind. Did you know that he loves traveling and has his list of favorite airlines to travel with? Today he’s going to share his most memorable trip with us.
Thai Smile: Tell us about your most memorable trip?
Man Karin: I love to travel. Whenever I have any free time, I’d travel somewhere close to Bangkok or to a destination where I can hop on a plane. My most memorable trip would be the one where I proposed to my wife Gale at Maldives. I’ve proposed to my girlfriend before and this is actually the fourth time I proposed, and she finally said yes this time. We’ve taken trips to Japan and New Zealand and we’ve met with obstacles but this was a most perfect trip where we were so happy together. The travel itself, the visits to attractions, and being with the person I love helped contribute to a good memory. Everyone cooperated to create a great surprise proposal and imprint this trip in my heart as a most memorable one.
Thai Smile: What about your most exciting trip?
Man Karin: It must be my trip to Australia. It was a one-month car caravan, traveling 15,000 kilometers, commencing in Perth which is the westernmost region of Australia and ending at Sydney at the easternmost spot of the country. The distance took one month to cover by car but it wasn’t a straight-line route. We had to drive through winding highways through some remote towns that may have only three inhabitants but about nine million kangaroos. The whole trip was extremely adventurous. We met with a lot of obstacles such as thunderstorms and snowstorms and came across environments like the desert and Amazonian jungles. The weather constantly changed, forcing us to have to adapt to the situation. I had a lot of fun with my friends though and with the adventurous driving but I did have an accident with my vehicle. My friends and I also took part in extreme activities such as swimming in the sea in frigid weather, swimming in shark-infested waters, jumping from a height of 10,000 feet, bungy-jumping from the world’s fifth highest bungy jump, and deep sea diving at the world’s largest coral reef. That trip to Australia was such a challenge and such fun.
Thai Smile: Since you travel so often, can you tell us about your impression of traveling with THAI Smile?
Man Karin: I have fond memories of my trip with THAI Smile to Chiang Rai to make merit with my wife Gale. I must thank THAI Smile for taking such good care of my wife and me in terms of booking our tickets or giving us upgrades that increased convenience for a frequent traveler like me. This trip was a day trip and it clearly shows it’s not difficult at all to travel to the provinces. THAI Smile has made provincial travel more simple and convenient. Flight attendants were cheerful and friendly and had excellent service while the inflight food was delicious and the flight was on-time. That truly won me over.
Thai Smile: What do you never miss in bringing on all your trips?
Man Karin: I never miss bringing my camera because I like to capture good memories. Keeping memories in our minds and telling people through words is not as fun as showing pictures. I love taking pictures of the atmosphere, the feelings, the food, and the fun with friends so I never forget my camera.
Thai Smile: Lastly, what would you like to tell everyone about traveling?
Man Karin: I see travel as a relaxing activity that brings me joy. We work so hard that we sometimes forget that travel can bring us joy and broaden our horizon. And it doesn’t have to be travel to foreign countries because Thailand has so many interesting destinations such as beaches, mountains, rivers, or even communities and cultural attractions that reflect being Thai. I’d like to invite everyone to take trips. By the time you realize you’ve been spending all your time making money, you may be too old to enjoy travel. Let’s travel and enjoy ourselves but make sure you respect the rules and regulations of places you visit and don’t damage the natural environment everywhere you go in Thailand and abroad.
